EPI C91 Council meeting took place on 13 November 2021 by videoconference. A total of 188 participants attended the meeting, including three representatives from MK: B.Sc. eng. Bogoljub Ilievski in the capacity of Vice President of the Institute and prof. Dr. Gjorgji Filipov (the two permanent members of the Council) and M.Sc. eng. Marija Kjoseska, as a substitute member of the Council.
On 8 November 2021, EPO President António Campinos met online with Mr Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The book was published in August 2021, on 1028 pages, 34 chapters and five annexes with a table of court cases. North Macedonia is in chapter 25 from page 647 to page 661.
On May 25, 2021, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) issued the Interim Measures for the Processing of Related Examination Businesses Regarding the Implementation of the Revised Patent Law. As the amended patent law has come into effect on June 1, 2021 and the implementation rules are still being revised, CNIPA issued these Interim Measures that have been effective since June 1, 2021. The Interim Measures cover design patent term, partial design examination, patent term adjustment, patent term extension, and other areas. The Interim Measures do not cover patent linkage.
The 90th meeting of the Council of the European Patent Institute (EPI) took place on 8 May 2021 by video conference, which was attended by a total of 160 members, including three representatives from MK: prof. Dr. Gjorgji Filipov, B.Sc. eng. Bogoljub Ilievski (as permanent members and Marija Kjoseska, M.Sc., as a substitute member of the Council). During the meeting, the members of the Council elected a new Secretary General, Ms. Olga SIRAKOVA (BG), in place of Mr. Cornelis Mulder (NL), resigned in January 2021.

Am 11. Juni 2018 empfing der österreichische Präsident, Alexander Van der Bellen, in Wien eine Delegation der Europäischen Akademie der Wissenschaften und Künste unter Leitung des Akademiepräsidenten, Prof. Dr. Felix Unger. Teilnehmer der Delegation war auch Botschafter Prof. Dr. Gjorgji Filipov, Vorstandsvorsitzender der Agentur für geistiges Eigentum Berin-Skopje und Direktor von Berin International – Wien.
Die Jahresversammlung des Internationalen Warenzeichenverbands (International Trademark Association, INTA) fand in 2018 zum 140. Mal vom 18. bis 25. Mai in Seattle, USA, statt, der Stadt von Microsoft, Boeing, Starbucks, Amazon, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana und vielen weiteren berühmten Unternehmen und Persönlichkeiten, die zur Entwicklung von Industrie und Kultur weltweit beigetragen haben.
Dipl. Ing. Bogoljub Ilievski, Mazedonisches Amt für industrielles Eigentum und EPA, Leiter der Patentabteilung der Agentur für industrielles Eigentum Berin, leitete als Vorsitzende des Unterausschusses für Qualität am Institut der beim Europäischen Patentamt zugelassenen Vertreter (epi) die sechsköpfige Delegation beim Jahrestreffen “Partnerschaft für Qualität”, das am Europäischen Patentamt in München am 23. April 2018 stattfand. Ilievski ist auch für die Umsetzung des Qualitätsmanagementssystems im Rahmen des ISO-Standards 9001:2008 zuständig, der bei Berin bereits seit 9 Jahren implementiert ist. Durch seine Erfahrung in diesem Bereich trug er zu einem fruchtbaren Erfahrungsaustausch in Bezug auf die Implementierung des Systems in das Europäische Patentamt bei.
In diesem Jahr ging der Preis PATENT DES JAHRES an den Autor Viktor Nastev für seine Erfindung “"Vorrichtung mit elektrischer oder pneumatischer Bewegung eines Klappmechanismus zur Einleitung der Geschwindigkeitsreduzierung bei Fahrzeugen". Das Patent war im Juli 2017 durch den Vertreter von Berin angemeldet worden.
Eine Delegation der Agentur für geistiges Eigentum “Berin” in Zusammensetzung von MA Marija Kjoseska und Dipl. Ing. Bogoljub Ilievski, nahm an der Arbeit der 84. Ratssitzung des Instituts der beim Europäischen Patentamt zugelassenen Vertreter (EPI) teil, die in Valletta (Malta) vom 13. bis 14. April 2018 stattfand. Die Agentur Berin ist im Übrigen in vier Ausschüssen beim Institut der beim Europäischen Patentamt zugelassenen Vertreter repräsentiert: Ausschuss für berufliche Bildung (MA Marija Kjoseska), Ausschuss für Europäische Patent-Praxis (Bogoljub Ilievski), Disziplinarrat (Vanco Damjanski) und Ausschuss für EPA-Finanzen (Prof. Dr. Gjorgji Filipov).
Die Weltorganisation für geistiges Eigentum – WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) veröffentlichte die Jahresstatistik für 2017 zu den weltweiten Aktivitäten im Bereich des geistigen Eigentums.
Dipl.ing. Bogoljub Ilievski, mazedonischer und europäischer Patentdelegierter (MDIS & EPD), Leiter der Abteilung für Patente bei der Gesellschaft für geistiges Eigentum BERIN, ist auf der Sitzung am 25. Januar in München einstimmig zum Vorsitzenden des Unterausschusses für Qualität und gleichzeitig zu einem der vier stellvertretenden Vorsitzenden des Ausschusses für Europäische Patent-Praxis beim Institut der beim Europäischen Patentamt zugelassenen Vertreter (epi) gewählt worden. Diese Funktionen wird er im Rahmen des Mandats in diesem Ausschuss für den Zeitraum 2018-2021 ausüben.
M.A. Marija Kjoseska, Delegierte für industrielles Eigentum im Rahmen der Gesellschaft für geistiges Eigentum BERIN, schreibt in der letzten Ausgabe des Magazins In Store über die Verletzung der Rechte geistigen Eigentums im Internet.
Dies ist eine Steigerung von 10,4 % im Vergleich zum Vorjahr, heißt es im neuesten statistischen Bericht des Europäischen, Japanischen, Koreanischen, Chinesischen und Amerikanischen Patentamts, bekannt als IS5 bzw. als die fünf größten Patentämter der Welt.
Eine Delegation der Gesellschaft für geistiges Eigentum BERIN, zusammengesetzt aus Prof. Dr. Gjorgji Filipov, M.A. Marija Kjoseska und Dipl.ing. Liljana Filipova (begleitendes Mitglied), nahm am 83. Ratstreffen des Instituts der beim Europäischen Patentamt zugelassenen Vertreter (epi) teil, das vom 17. bis 19. November 2017 in Warschau (Polen) stattfand.
Die Gesellschaft für geistiges Eigentum BERIN ehrte zwei junge Erfinder, Teilnehmer an der 38. Internationalen Messe für Erfindungen – Makinova 2017, die in diesem Jahr vom 25. bis 29. Oktober im Sportzentrum “Boris Trajkovski” Skopje stattfand und auf der sich ca. 50 Erfinder mit ihren Innovationsprojekten und -arbeiten in den Kategorien Makinova und Ökonova vorstellten.
Auf der 153. Sitzung des Verwaltungsrats des Europäischen Patentamts, die am 10. Oktober 2017 in München unter dem Vorsitz von Christoph Ernst (DE) stattfand, wurde António Campinos als Nachfolger von Benoît Battistelli zum Präsidenten des Europäischen Patentamts (EPA) gewählt. Das fünfjährige Mandat Campinos’ beginnt am 1. Juli 2018.
Der Vorstandsvorsitzender der Agentur für geistiges Eigentum „Berin“, Prof. Dr. Gjorgji Filipov, Mitglied der europäischen Akademie der Wissenschaften und Künste, nahm teil an der 8. Konferenz der Akademie der Wissenschaften und Künste der Donauländer, die vom 21 bis 22 September 2017 in Belgrad (Republik Serbien) stattfand. Die Veranstaltung wurde organisiert von der serbischen und von der europäischen Akademie der Wissenschaften und Künste.
Marija Kjoseska, M.A. Vertreterin für gewerbliches Eigentum in der Agentur für geistiges Eigentum Berin, gab in der letzten Ausgabe des Magazins IN Store Ratschläge für Entwicklung einer Strategie für geistiges Eigentum (GE).
MA Marija Kjoseska, Vertreterin für gewerbliches Eigentum des Unternehmens für geistiges Eigentum BERIN GmbH Skopje hielt am 17.07.2017 im Jugendkulturzentrum (MCC) zwei Vorträge im Rahmen der Internationalen Messe für zeitgenössische Kunst, Paratissima Skopje 2017.
Vom 20-24.05.2017 fand in Barcelona (Spanien), die 139. Jahresversammlung der Weltorganisation für Warenzeichen INTA 2017, an der rund 11.000 Patenten- und Warenzeichenvertreter aus der ganzen Welt teilgenommen haben. An der Versammlung nimmt auch die Agentur für geistiges Eigentum BERIN teil. Sie ist vertreten durch vier Mitglieder und einem Mitarbeiter. Diese sind: Prof. Dr. Gjorgji Filipov, Gründer, Dipl. Ing. Liljana Filipova, Mitbegründer, Dipl. Ing. Vanco Damjanski, Geschäftsführer sowie Frau Marija Kjoseska, Dipl. Ing., Leiter der Abteilung für Warenzeichen. In der Organisation haben sich auch Frau Maja Damjanska, dipl. Psychologe, Berater für Herausgabe und Kommunikation aus Skopje und Herr Ivan Ivanov von der IP-Beratung aus Sofia beteiligt. Am 22.05.2017 implementierte BERIN ein Seminar-Workshop für die Partner aus China und aus den anderen Ländern des Fernen Ostens.
Am 10. Mai 2017 fand in München die 84. Sitzung des ständigen Ausschusses für technische und operative Tätigkeiten der europäischen Patentorganisation (EPO) statt. Dieser Ausschuß hat etwas mehr als 100 Mitglieder (jeweils zwei Mitglieder aus den Mitgliedsstaaten des EPO sowie Mitglieder aus den assoziierten Ländern dieser Organisation). Das europäische Patentamt war vertreten von einer Delegation bestehendend aus 26 Mitgliedern, die von drei Vizepräsidenten, Herrn Dr. Raimund Lutz, MA Gila Minos and Mr. Alberto Casado geleitet wurde. Die Zusammensetzung dieses Ausschusses wird von einem Vertreter der EUIPO (Amt für geistiges Eigentum der EU), der WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) und der EPI (European Patent Institute) ergänzt.
Vom 23. bis 25.04. 2017 fand in München (Deutschland) die 82 Generalversammlung des Rates des Europäischen Patentinstituts, einer Organisation der europäischen Patentanwälte statt, die 11.500 Mitglieder aus 38 europäischen Ländern umfasst. Die Versammlung wurde von 136 Delegierten besucht, darunter vier aus Mazedonien. Anstelle des Niederländers Tony Tangena wurde ein neuer Präsident gewählt, Herr Francis Leiden aus Belgien, dessen Vizepräsidenten Dr. Barbara Kunic aus Slowenien und Dr. Heike Fogelsang, aus Deutschland sind. Neuer Generalsekretär ist Roaj Pereira aus Portugal.
Im Rahmen der regelmäßigen Vorbereitungen für die Jahrestagung des INTA (Internationaler Verband der Eigentumer von Warenzeichen) fand am 17. März 2017 in Zagreb die Einführungsveranstaltung statt, an der Vanco Damjanski als Vertreter von Berin anwesend war.
Die Gründer der Agentur für geistiges Eigentum Berin GmbH, Dipl.-Ing. Liljana Filipova und Prof. Dr. Gjorgji Filipov, Botschafter, mazedonische und europäische Patentvertreter nahmen an den beiden Veranstaltungen in Salzburg am 03.03.2017 am „Symposium zur Nanotechnologie“ und am 04.03.2017 am „Festliches Plenum der Europäischen Akademie der Wissenschaften und Künste“ teil.
Inmitten der großer wirtschaftlichen Unsicherheit, im globalen Rahmen ist Wachstum der globalen wissensbasierten Wirtschaft zu beobachten. Im Februar 2017 namlich hat die Weltorganisation für geistiges Eigentum (WIPO) die drei-millionste Patentanmeldung innerhalb ihres Vertrages für Zusammenarbeit auf dem Gebiet des Patentwesens (PCT) veröffentlicht.
Vor etwa zehn Tagen hat die berühmte Firma Tesla das Aussehen des Logos für Fahrzeuge Modell 3 geändert, so dass nun anstelle von den drei parallelen Streifen, das neue Logo die Zahl 3 darstellt. Das Unternehmen erklärt, dass diese Änderung ein stilistischer Wandel sei. Gerichtsdokumente zeigen jedoch, dass Adidas Einfluss auf diese Änderung hatte.
Unser Vertreter Dipl. Ing. Bogoljub Ilievski nahm an der ersten Sitzung des ständigen Beratungsgremiums der Europäischen Patentorganisation (SACEPO) teil, die am 17. Januar 2017 in München (Deutschland) stattfand.
Laut Statistik des US-Amtes für Patente und Marken wurde das vergangenen Jahr 2016 gekennzeichnet durch ein schnelles Wachstum von Patenten, verglichen mit den vorigen Jahren. Die Gesamtzahl der erteilten Patente im Jahr 2016 betrug 334.673, was ein Anstieg von 7.793 bzw. 2,4% bedeutet im Vergleich zum Jahr 2015.
Das Jahr 2016 markiert den 125. Jahrestag des Gründungvertrages des Madrider Systems für die internationale Registrierung von Warenzeichen und es wächst immer mehr. Es wird erwartet, dass die Anzahl der Registrierungen von Warenzeichen im Jahr 2019 1,5 Millionen erreichen wird.
